I am Marco Mari, and this research builds on ten years of fieldwork in Italian and U.S. manufacturing hubs and communities carried out by myself and the team at Italia Innovation.
It now represents the core research activity of my upcoming PhD program at Bocconi University in Business and Social Law, and is conducted alongside my role as a research affiliate at the MIT Industrial Performance Center and research fellow at the Cañada Blanch Centre of the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Alongside my entrepreneurial experience at Italia Innovation, which I co-founded in 2015, I have held creative leadership positions in two leading Italian industrial groups, Benetton and Illy.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Juridical Science from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano and a Master of Liberal Arts in International Relations from Harvard University.
